Anri Sala represents a truly contemporary international vision: working in a range of media including video, photography and installation, Sala was educated in Albania and France, but now lives and works in Berlin. In his films and installations, Sala invites viewers to participate in his world of cultural observation, for which he often uses socio-political settings and personal experiences as backdrops.
By juxtaposing elements of past and present, discordance and harmony, and by overlapping narrative, sound and movement, Sala creates a unique sensibility.
Anri Sala përfaqëson një vizion ndërkombëtar vërtet bashkëkohor: duke punuar në një sërë mediash, duke përfshirë video, fotografi dhe instalacion, Sala u arsimua në Shqipëri dhe Francë, por tani jeton dhe punon në Berlin. Në filmat dhe instalacionet e tij, Sala i fton shikuesit të marrin pjesë në botën e tij të vëzhgimit kulturor, për të cilin ai shpesh përdor mjediset socio-politike dhe përvojat personale si sfond.
Duke vënë përballë elementet e së kaluarës dhe të tashmes, mospërputhjen dhe harmoninë, dhe duke mbivendosur narrativën, tingullin dhe lëvizjen, Sala krijon një ndjeshmëri unike.
